Original pitanje:
QUESTION:
Usually the parents and other family members disown the transgenders, so they do not have mahrams. So how can they go for hajj or umrah? Also, transgenders mean that their gender does not correspond with their birth sex, so they’re neither fully men nor women, right? So do they still need a mahram?

ANSWER:
There is no such thing as a transgender in Islam. They are either a man pretending to be a woman or vice versa.
If he has the organs of a male, he is treated as a male! There isn’t anything in Islam as gay! If a woman is pretending to be a man, she is still a woman who is not allowed to travel without a male mahram accompanying her. She/he are is cursed by Allah for imitating the opposite gender.
