Original pitanje:
Sheikh, a lot of times I refrain from doing deeds because of fear of people, like I want to make dua in final tashahud and I take long time time people start looking at me and I stop and say Salam. Is it shirk?

Original odgovor:
This is not normal as one must not care what people think of him if he is doing what he is doing for the sake of Allah. This is why some scholars said:
“Doing something to show off to people is riya’a.
Leaving something mandatory for the fear of people talking is shirk!”
